Megan McKeon, RMHCI, is a dedicated and compassionate Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with a heart for humanity. She is committed to providing an affirming space where clients can feel truly understood, work through defeating beliefs, and be empowered to cultivate a life they love. Acknowledging that everyone experiences hard times, some unexpected, Megan believes that in such moments, caring support and a non-judgmental space are essential.
Megan employs an integrated approach to counseling, tailored to each client’s therapeutic goals. In her sessions, she delves into personal stories, uncovers innate strengths, and builds bridges to the client’s whole self. Her therapeutic repertoire includes person-centered therapy, psychodynamic approaches, internal family systems (IFS), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical-behavioral therapy (DBT), and the Gottman Method for addressing relationship conflicts. She also incorporates ideas from Jungian psychology and existentialism to enrich the therapeutic experience.
Megan is currently accepting clients both in person and via telehealth, addressing a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, relationship and marriage conflicts, LGBTQ+ concerns, women’s life transitions, inner child and parts work, and self-esteem challenges.
